Through the Mergen Dashboard, users can select the TWAP or VWAP execution mode for any manual trade or automated bot signal. If your trend bot decides to buy $100,000 of an illiquid token, you can instruct the engine to execute it via a 4-hour VWAP.
The Mergen `StrategyEngine.Core` will autonomously analyze the historical volume profile of that specific altcoin, chop your order into hundreds of micro-transactions, and slowly feed them into the exchange via Maker limit orders, guaranteeing you the mathematical average price without tipping off arbitrageurs.
2. Iceberg Orders (Hidden Liquidity)
If you place a massive limit order on the exchange, other bots will see your "Buy Wall" and instantly front-run you by placing their orders 1 cent above yours. To counter this, Mergen provides Iceberg Orders.
An Iceberg order only shows a tiny fraction (the "tip") of your true order to the public. If you want to buy 100 BTC at $60,000, the engine only places a limit order for 1 BTC. The moment that 1 BTC is filled, the engine instantly replaces it with another 1 BTC, repeating the process until the entire 100 BTC is acquired.
